Results?
- those who were exposed to media 1.5 times more likely to have discussed HIV/AIDS
- twice as likely to know condom use reduces risk of HIV infection
- no effect on condom usage
Conclusions?
- increased awareness+communication

- men= radio info
- advise about where to find condoms should be given
Pros and cons?
PROS:
•large sample= more reliable, higher population validity
•standardised=replicable, reliable
•high ecological validity
CONS:
•ethnocentric= cannot generalise to western culture
•closed q= less detail
•social desirability
