Can a person sign this document beforehand?
NO, you must sign in person after the oath.
But if they sign it before hand, you must cross out the signature with a normal pen (not white out), TAKE THE OATH AGAIN, THEN SIGN IT

Can you use OUT OF STATE wording?
NO, NOT FOR A JURAT
You need to attach as a California Jurat Certificate
might get rejected, but you can use a JURAT Stamp

If there is space on the paper after you cross out wording from other state
Similar to the Acknowledgement wording
You do not certify authorized capacity and cannot use personal knowledge
Foreign documents
- foreign language ok to notarize signatures
- check the document if complete
- if it’s not complete from your experience and if you don’t feel sure, you can deny notarization

If not, you have to make sure to attach a loose certificate
