  • Synovial Saddle Joint- Mobility- 2 axes
  • sternal end of the clavicle, the manubrium of the sternum, and part of the 1st costal cartilage
  • articular surfaces are covered with fibrocartilage
  • Fibrocartilagenous Articular disc- allow rotation and movement in a 3rd axis
  • Strong Joint capsule- fibrous outer layer, inner synovial membrane
  • Strong Ligaments
