A

Stepping out of the taxi I would have a checklist of things to do on joining:
• Look from the quayside the way the vessel is secured to the dock/condition of lines.
• The general state of the vessel including draught marks, load lines etc.
• The safe access to the ship.
• The standard of maintenance of the decks and visible LSA and Fire equipment.
• The appearance of the crew.
• The way I am challenged at the gangway (ISPS).
