A
. Needle Technique
. 14-16 gauge needle is inserted at an angle that
creates a tunnel in subserosa prior to entering
jejunal lumen.
. A 7Fr cath is introduced through the needle and
advanced 30-40cm into lumen and withdrawn
. Jejunum anchored to abdominal wall
. Catheter brought out through a stab wound and
anchored to skin with 4-0 nylon
. Midline incision closed

Witzel Technique
A
. Insertion of a soft rubber catheter on opening of
jejunum on antimesenteric site and anchored
with a 3-0 purse string absorbable suture
