A

upper class women, samuri, and aristocrats cant attend

(these ppl disguised themselves still go)

then women got banned from doing Kabuki (wasnt really sticking)

now banning young male kabuki (Wakashu kabuki)

government doesn’t like class mingling through this sex work

we end up with only adult male kabuki (the had to shave top of their head)
- tried to make them ess sexually apealing
