Theatre Of Dionysus

Semi circle because it was renovated by the romans

they perform in honour of Dionysus

City is the backdrop (constant reminder of thens as you are watching)

lots of plays reflected what was happening in Athens at the time

important festivals mostly:
- mostly in June (the easiest season for everyone to come together wether wise)

seats 14-17000 people RAHHHHH

earliest examples from the 6th century BCE

Many subsequent remodellings

most of what were seeing are from te 4th century (AD i assume)
