Q

Research to support Harlow rhesus monkeys

A

– Harlow separated monkeys from mothers of birth and raise them in cages, so they had no early attachment

– Monkeys found it difficult to form relationships = difficulty mating and females were inadequate mothers

– Supporting early attachment to later attachment as this shows negative attachment earlier on can lead to negative future relationships
