The active voice vs the passive voice

A

A sentence in the active voice indicates that the subject - the agent of the action- performs the action (the verb). The sentence may include a recipient - an object or person that receives the action.
In the passive voice , however, the subject is acted upon. If the agent - the doer of the action- is mentioned, the preposition por is placed before the agent.
