IDA diagnosis
A
Ferritin < 15 or < 30 if pregnant
Transferrin <16%
Low RBC, hgb, hct, reticulocyte count, mcv, mch

IDA Symptoms
A
Fatigue, weakness, headache, irritability, exercise intolerance, exertional dyspnea, vertigo, angina pectoris
Pallor, dry skin, blue sclera, atrophic glossitis, spoon nails, angular Chelitis

IDA Treatment
A
Oral: 300-325mg TID
IV: 10-15 ml x5doses
Modest reticulocytosis peaking in 7-10 days, HbG normalizes in 6-8 weeks
