Thrombotic manifestations:
Acute renal failure
Hepatic dysfunction
ARDS
Pulmonary thromboembolism
DVT

Management of DIC

A

Treat the underlying cause
Supportive therapy
Transfusions of platelet concentrates, FFP

Increasing fibrinogen levels is a sign of successful treatment
