Aspirate with a séimhiú (add a ‘h’ after the first consonant)
i.e. mhúscail, chuaigh, etc.
What do you do if the past tense word begins with a vowel?
Add a “ d’ ” in front
i.e. d’ól, d’ith, etc.
What if the past tense word begins with an “ f ”?
Add a “ d’ “ in front and aspirate
i.e. d’fhág, d’fhoghlaim, etc.
How do you conjugate 1 syllable slender verbs in the present tense?
Add the appropriate ending for the subject pronoun
1st person - ‘-im’
3rd person - ‘-eann’
How do you conjugate 1 syllable broad verbs in the present tense?
Add the appropriate ending for the subject pronoun
1st person - “-aim”
3rd person - “-ann”
How do you conjugate 1 syllable verbs ending in “-igh”?
Remove the “-igh” and add the appropriate ending for the subject pronoun
1st person - “-ím”
3rd person - “-íonn”
i.e. suigh - suím
- síonn

Remove the last vowel and add the appropriate ending for the subject pronoun
