What regions of the tumor or resistant to radiation
Regions with decreased perfusion are more resistant to radiation because the free radicals produced by radiation cannot travel to hypoxic areas with poor blood perfusion plus in the absence of oxygen the effects of radiation are significantly diminished because reducing compounds that contains of Sulfahydrl groups scavenging illuminate free radicals.
This is why radiation is usually used combined with other treatments
