Hypo-deductive model

A

Theories lead to hypotheses which are tested against facts. When there’s s discrepancy between hypotheses and facts then a theory is reformulated

Hypo-deductive method

A

From theory we deduce hypotheses
Then empirically validate our hypotheses
Hypotheses that aren’t empirically supposed lead to reformulation or abandonment of theory
Should seek to refute rather than support our hypotheses
