Radian definition
A measure of an angle at the centre of a circle whereby the length of the arc is equal to the length of the radius of the circle

How to calculate number of degrees in a radian. Show answer
Circumference of circle = 2πr We know arc length = radius length Therefore number of arc lengths in circumference = 2πr / r = 2π 2π must equal 360 degrees or 1 Rev 1π = 180 degrees 180 / π = 57.3 degrees
