The word helminth was derived from the greek word?

Phyla of veterinary importance:
Platyhelminthes(flatworms)
Nemathelminthes(roundworms)
Acanthocephala(thornyheaded worms)
Phylum platyhelminthes characteristics
-Dorso-ventrally flat
-Usually hermaphroditic (bisexual -male and female reproductive organs in one individual)
-Solid body (no body cavity/space)
-Organs embedded in tissues called parenchyma
-Excretory organs- flame cells or solenocytes and collecting ducts
- Respiratory and circulatory systems are absent
- Life cycle may be direct (no intermediate host) or indirect (with intermediate intermediate host)
