neural tube forms as dorsal indentation/groove in ectoderm of embryo
notocord induces formation of neural tube
neural crest cells form adjacent to where neural tube will close

what does a neuronal nucleus look like (histologically)?
A
very euchromatic with prominent nucleolus
cytoplasm has lots of rER and ribosomes = Nissel bodies in neurons - make it basophilic
many mitochondria
no ribosomes in axons

along microtubules
kinesin moves things out
