What is the concept of opposition?
-Yin & Yang are relatively opposite
- never exactly 50/50
-always changing to maintain homeostasis
-even if something is yin it will contain yang as well
What is the concept of Interdependence?
-yin and yang cannot exist without the other
“amount of activity is correlated to amount of rest”
What is the concept of Mutual Consumption?
-Too much of one will deplete the other
-not enough of one will show more of the other
“not enough yang will look similar to too much yin”
What is the concept of intertransformation?
-Yin & yang transform into one another
“awake into sleep, life into death, summer into winter”
