What is the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist?

A

Psychiatrist have had extensive medical training and it’s technically a medical doctor or psychologist focused his or her training that education. I psychiatrist is able to prescribe medication whereas the psychologist is not. A psychologist uses his or her skills mostly as therapy.
