The Biological, psychological, Emotional, Cognitive, Socio-cultural and Moral/spiritual/religious
How can the Biological aspect be described?
Reproduction, Sex Hormones (estrogen, testosterone, progesterone), Genitals, STI’s, Contraception, Secondary Sex Characteristics, Sexual Response
How can the Psychological aspect be described?
Learning + Experience, Trauma, Attraction, Desire, Paraphilia, Eroticism, Body Image (self-esteem)
How can the Emotional aspect be described?
Lust, Love, Shame, Frustration, Desire, Guilt, Fear, etc…
How can the Cognitive aspect be described?
interpretation of sexual behaviors, perception, assessment + evaluation, acquired knowledge
How can the Socio-cultural aspect be described?
Laws + taboo, Norms, attitudes, Stigmas, Rules, Media (beauty standards, stereotypes),
How can the Moral aspect be described?
Practices (rules of conduct), Ethics, Beliefs + Values (what’s right vs. what’s wrong)
