Intrinsic Back Muscles Flashcards
Splenius capitis attachemnts
Origin-ligamenum nuchae and sponos prcoess of C7 to T3
Insert-lateral superior nuchal line of occipital bone and mastoid process of temporal bone
Spleniuscervicus attachents
Origin-spinous processes of T3 to T6
Insert-transverse processes of C1 and C2
Innervation of spleens captious and splines cervicus
Spinal nerves C1-C6
Posterior Ram, lateral branches
Splenius capitis and splenius cervicis actions
bilaterally extend cervical spine and head
Unilaterally act to flex and rotate the had to the same side
Semispinalis attachments
origen-transvere and articular processes of C4 to T7
attaches to occipital bone between superior and inferior nuchal lines
semispinalis innervation
spinal nervves (posterior rami)
semisinalis capitits and cervicis
capitis is always higher (there is a semispinalsis and spenius cap and cerv as well)
splenius are on top of semispinaialis
-cervicis is lower than capitis
semispinalis actions
bilaterally extend track and cervical spines and head as well as stabilizing craniovert joints
unilaterrly to bend had, cervical and thoracic spines to same side, and rotate them to opposite side
Erector spinae parts and which is most superficila/deep
illiocostalis, longissius, spinalis
iliocostalis, longissimus, spinalis
superficial deep
Splenuys capitis and cerviciss innervation
spinal nerves C1-C6 (posterior rami, lateral branches)
Erector spinae actions
Bilaterlly-extend spine
unilaterally-bend/rotate spine
Erector spinae attachemts
start-Basically ribs or vertebrae
end-rib or vertebrae or mastoid process
