In the US 14.6 million people are part of a trade union compared to 6.4 million in the U.K. US population is about 5 times the size of the U.K. population.
U.K. have much longer trade union history which is probably why trade union membership is overall higher. U.K. more left too.

U.K. Outsider Group People’s Vote was set up in 2018 and in 2019 had a million people protesting in London for a second Brexit Referendum but it never happened
