Q

What can you tell me about pilot responsibilities?

A
  • Ultimately it is about the safe carriage of passengers, freight and crew to the destination
  • But it is not just about being a professional pilot, it is also about being an Air New Zealander and also a New Zealander - representing and contributing to both the company and NZ
  • Lots of parallels with the current employer - serviceperson/officer first, pilot second (23 years of experience doing so thats why I have done ground roles and sought Command/Management roles to contribute to the bigger picture and not just about being a pilot)
