Q
lymphoma vs leukemia

Q
Lymphoma
A
Mostly primary malignant neoplastic disease of lymphoid cells. Generally arise as discrete masses in tissues outside bone marrow.
Most arise de novo with no known risk factors
Some known - immunosuppression/immunodeficiency, some autoimmune diseases eg hashimoto’s, infections agents eg EBV and H. pylori, environmental eg chemotherapy, radiation, chemical, or chromosomal translocations
2 main groups - Hodgkin lymphoma and non-hodgkin lymphoma
