sarcoidosis
multi-system granulomatous disease causing inflammation and skin involvement leading to lung fibrosis
hypersensitivity pneumonitis
result from repeated inhalation and sensitization to various organic dusts and birds
dx via bronchoalveolar lavage and lung biopsy
most common idiopathic ILD
- usual interstitial pneumonia
- ANA neg, LFT normal, no collagen disorder…worst prognosis
how to dx idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
high res CT
comorbidities
bronchogenic cancer
treatment
steroids for most, if idiopathic then lung transplant or use pirfenidone or nintedanib
