Successes between September 1792 and January 1793

A

Battle of Valmy won on 20 September 1792. Army of the Alps annexes Savoy in October 1792. Nice and Monaco annexed by France in January 1793. 19 November 1792 Edict of Fraternity helped this.

A

After expulsion of Girondins 31 May - 2 June 1793, 60/83 departements protested. August - Toulon lets in British; siege of Toulon lasts until December.

High food prices

A

1791-93: Prices rise by 90%, wages by 80%. Journee of 3 May - 4 May, convention impose max prices on wheat and flour.
