Q

Evaluate interference theory

A
  • Artificial stimuli: Learning lists of words is not normal to real life
    T: Lack of external valditiy
  • Unrealistic time in studies: Only 1-2 hours in McGeoch and McDonalds studies, not normal passage of time.
    T: Lack of external validity

+ Baddeley and Hitch: They found that the more games people had played in rugby, the less they were able to recall their last game, this had more of an effect than the time between the present and said game
T: Credible theory
