Precautions/interactions with insulin
- when mixing regular with NPH insulin, draw up regular first
- do not mix other insulins with lispro, glargine, or combination 70/30
- Only regular insulin is given IV (only in normal saline)
- Administer glargine at bedtime
When mixed with regular insulin, draw up this medication last

The client should eat as soon as this medication is given
