A
- teach the client to seek appropriate care
- review med regimen and teach the client about precautions related to the time of administration as required
- do not crush, chew, or break tablets

How does Sucralfate work?
A
Adheres to injured gastric ulcers upon contact with gastric acids; protective action for up to 6 hours; has no systemic effects

- take on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before meals
2. do not administer within 30 min of antacids
