Describe Goldfarb’s study.
A
Matched pairs, two groups fostered and institutional, fostered group were fostered at birth or by 9 months, institutional group fostered at age of 3 years, matched in terms of age and sex. Maturity, agression, ability to form relationships and intelligence, development and language all tested at ages of 3, 10 and 14. Institutional group lagged behind, restless can’t form relationships, aggressive and can’t concentrate. By of 14 IQ was 95 for fostered but only 72 for institutional.
