He feels as if Inspector Goole should act as a separation of people from their wealth and authority and that everyone should be equal

He feels hopeful for them, as they are the new generation who will lead the world.
How does Priestley feel about Mr Birling?
Priestley feels hatred towards Mr Birling and clearly emulates this by making him an idiot and only care about making money.
How does Mr Birling perceive the marriage between Sheila and Gerald?
As just a new connection for his business and Gerald’s family business to work together.
