A
Lone working, asbestos, accessing areas at height, derelict or empty properties.

Is there any guidance for surveyors when inspecting properties?
A
Yes. The RICS has published Surveying Safely, 2nd Edition, 2018. This is guidance however so have regard to H&S Executive.

How do you ensure accuracy with Distos?
A
Regularly check a known distance within the office. Annual services. Be aware they are less accurate over large distances and outside.
