What is an injunction?
An injunction is a court order directions someone to stop doing a certain act (restrictive injunction), or compelling someone to do a certain act (mandatory injunction). The purpose of an injunction is to rectify a situation caused by the person who was found to be in the wrong.
What is a restrictive injunction?
A restrictive injunction is a court order restricting a person from undertaking an action. For example, restricting someone from pulling down a house.
What is a mandatory injunction?
A mandatory injunction is a court order compelling a person to do a particular act, such as performing their part of a contract that they have breached.
