Making us feel connected with the product and people who use/promote that product.
What are some key features that distinguish influentials?
- Activist approach to life
- Taking input for what they read, hear, and see
- Tied to a significantly large number of groups
- Other people others look up to for advice
- Trendsetters for the mainstream market
What are Social Media Influencers?
People who have the potential to create engagement, drive conversation and/or sell products/services with the intended target audience. They can range from celebrities to more micro-targeted professional or non professional peers.
What is a Maven?
People who are knowledgeable about many things.
What are Connectors?
People who know many people and communicate with them.
What are Salespeople?
People who influence others with their natural persuasiveness power.
What are Mega Influencers?
High numbers of followers on social media channels (100,000 or more) and through their prevalence may condition customer decisions. They will generally be expensive to collaborate with, due the their immense reach. They have the ability to boost a product or brand even with a short campaign.
What makes Mega Influencers so powerful?

- Attractiveness
- Credibility
- Multiple celebrity endorsements
What are Macro Influencers?
Experts in an explicit field of mastery, and great resonance and ability to deliver a desired action from their audience. They are perceived as opinion leaders on a subject matter. They have large, loyal fanbases, and can reach a large portion of their target audience with high quality content.
What are Micro Influencers?
More limited size and address small audiences that they strategically maintain through consistent communication. They have a strong relationship with their audience who generally focus on a specific niche or area. They use self-branding to ensure they are perceived as authentic, transparent and relevant.
What are Virtual Influencers?
They have millions of followers and may be chosen or created by companies with characteristics they specifically defines. Companies have the ability to fully control their behaviours and content that they communicate. (Lil Miquela)
