Q

When will an object emit more radiation than it absorbs

And what does this mean is happening

A

When the object is hotter than its surrounding

This means it will be cooling down

9
Q

What do you do with a Leslie cube

A

fill it up with boiling water
Make sure all the 4 surfaces are te same temp
Hold an infrared detected a set distance from each of the surfaces and record how much infrared it’s emitting

16
Q

What happens to the earths temp at night

A

It decreases as less infrared radiation is being transferred and absorbed to the earth like from the sun

17
Q

What do clouds do

A

Some of the radiation emitted by the surface is reflected and absorbed by them and then emitted
