P- Language barriers experienced by Hispanics.
E- Some Hispanics may struggle to understand English and therefore do not succeed in poor quality schools in the barrios.
E- Just over 70% of Hispanics have graduated from high school compared to over 90% of Whites.

P- Discrimination and increased police presence in areas where some groups live.
E- Most of the crime takes place in the inner city areas where Blacks and Hispanics are more likely to live and they are more likely to be stopped and searched by the police.
E- The prison population is made up of 38% of Blacks even though they only make up 12% of the US population.

P- Lack of money.
E- The USA does not have free healthcare and therefore people have to take out private medical insurance however many people cannot do this as they have a low income or are unemployed.
E- Almost 20% of Hispanics are uninsured
