How education can cause social and economic issues
P- Language barriers experienced by Hispanics.
E- Some Hispanics may struggle to understand English and therefore do not succeed in poor quality schools in the barrios.
E- Just over 70% of Hispanics have graduated from high school compared to over 90% of Whites
P- Poor education.
E- Schools in the inner-city areas receive less funding than schools in the suburbs and as a result students who attend these schools may receive a poorer education which will prevent them getting a job or a job that pays well.
E- only 25% of blacks graduate from college.
How poverty can cause social and economic issues
P- Some groups are more likely to have a low income. E- Blacks and Hispanics are more likely to have a low paid job which does not provide health insurance or no job at all and therefore they can’t afford it.
E- Almost 20% of Hispanics have no health insurance compared to just over 8% of whites.

E- Due to having a poor education some groups may be unemployed or working in low skilled, low paid work such as fast food restaurants.
E- Almost 20% of Blacks and 17% of Hispanics live in poverty in America.
