Freud - What are the two drives Freud theorised?
Eros (Life instinct) - Hunger, Sexual desires and pain
Thanatos (Death instinct) - Violence, aggression
Freud - What are the three types of consciousness?
Preconscious - Anything that could be brought into the conscious mind
Conscious mind - Thoughts, memories and feeling’s
Unconscious mind - unaware, pain, pleasure, urges we can’t rationalise.
Freud - What are the three components of the personality?
Id - Primitive, biological instinct includes Eros/ Thanatos.
Ego - Decision making component, rational.
Superego - Moral, controls Id, uses guilt and pride to do this, has inviting for who we should be.

One boy called little Han’s aged 5.
