Ans : Marking 25 years of their strategic relations, India and France, in their recent meeting, outlined the trajectory of their bilateral ties till 2047 launching the Horizon 2047 framework.

Ans : 1. Includes sectors from defence, nuclear energy & space, to eliminating single-use plastic and a 5-year Schengen visa.
2. 2 nations adopted 3 pillars focusing on security, planet, and people guiding the bilateral ties for the next 25 years.
3. Also, reinforced ties on critical technology especially in AI, and Quantum computing among others.

Ans : 1. Modernisation of the defence sector : France has been instrumental in assisting India’s defence modernization efforts through technology transfers, enabling indigenous production capabilities, and joint ventures.
