1) Continuous monitoring of oceanographic parameters from various depths

3) Predict the influence on Indian Monsoon

Why Kongsfojorden Fjord ?
It has been chosen as a reference site for Arctic marine studies and a natural laboratory for detailed study on Arctic climate variability due to the presence of Fjord
What is a Fjord ?
It is a deep , narrow and elongated sea or lake drain having steep land on 3 sides and an opening towards sea on fourth side
