What is an inclusive environment?

Legislation that protects people against discrimination in the work place or in wider society in the UK, regadless of their:

What types of discrimination are there?
- Direct discrimination: Single person is being discriminated against
- Indirect discrimination: A group of people are being discriminated against
- Harassment: Single person attracts uninvited behaviour from others
- Victimisation: Single person becomes the target of harmful behaviour.
What is the punishment if you do not comply with the Equality Act?
- Could face civil enforcement procedures
- Be liable for a criminal offence
- Fine of up to £5,000.
What is the National Planning Policy Framework?
Identifies the need for planning policies and decisions to create places that are:
- Safe
- Inclusive
- Accessible
- Promote health and well-being
What is the Public sector Equality Duty?
Requires public authorities to consider how their facilities or services affect people who are covered under the Equality Act 2021

In your Inclusive Environments competency you mentioned you designed an access ramp. What did you design?
Within my design I included the correct gradient for the ramp as per Doc M2 and materials to be used.
