In class review session Flashcards
How many times can a battery switch be reset?
2 x
Can a generator switch be reset?
Nope unless the checklist calls for it.
Total fuel
19,165, 19065 useable
If the lower X.BP switches are turned horizontal (open) what will happen to the booster pump switch
It will go to the STBY position which will turn the pump on. In this condition both the main pump and standby pump are running. If the switch is put in the STBY position then only the STBY pump will run. This helps get more fuel to out of the center bays to the engines. When tanks are full it is necessary to get fuel out of center section because the center section has 1000 lbs more fuel then the wing groups.
What do the level lights mean on the overhead panel?
Down to 1000 pounds in each tank and 1100 in the center tank.
What does the XFR light mean on the windshield panel?
One of the windshield heats has failed and the controller has switched to the other side
What does the FUELING light mean on the panel?
Among 8 other things the B2 bus is not powered.
If the BLEED OVHT starts blinking and you have determined which system it is what do you do?
Wait 1 minute before continuing the check list.
At what altitude does the max output of the generator change to a lower value?
43000ft the value goes from 300amp to 260 amps
What is the best way to reduce current draw?
Pumps heats lights. But if you are down to one engine don’t turn off the pump or igniters off.
L/D max at 38,000 pounds, all engines out because of a bird strike?
170 Kts
What is the min temp to come out of idle on the oil temps?
30˚
Landing light limit.
15 on 45 off on the ground.
How many emergency batteries are on the EMER LIGHT switch on the overhead?
How long are the batteries good for?
3 sets of batteries
10 to 20 minutes
If the gravity fueling switch is opened in the air what will happen.
The vents will open even in the air. This switch is not protected by the weight on wheels switch.
If you land overweight what is the procedure?
It takes at least 20 hours of maintenance inspection for an overweight landing.
What is the engine computer check?
You are checking the mechanical linkage and the flyweights that control the overspeed.
What is the minimum voltage for APU start / Engine Start?
23 volts for APU and 22 volts for engine
How many fuel nozzles on the engine?
12
What does the fire test check?
Lights working, squibs, continuity of the system. It does not check the pressure in the bottles.
What does the APU fire bottle extinguish?
Both the APU and the baggage
If you turn on the anti ice for engine two on and the duct temp is less that 192.5 what will happen?
PRV 2 will go fully open.
If the wing anti-ice goes fully open what happens to the valves?
The HP 1 and PRV 3 valve go all the way open and then the PRV valve will regulate.
What is another name for PRV valves?
What is the failed position of these valves?
electro pneumatic valves,
they fail closed
How are the outflow valves controlled?
HP bleed from either the APU or from engines one or two. HP bleed air goes through a jet pump which causes a suction that opens and closes the outflow valve.
