Fertility, symbolising the idea of germinsation. Agriculture - feeding the people.
What do the elephant tusks represent?
Symbols of wisdom, strength, moderation and eternity.
What does the shield represent?
Contains the symbol of the nation - our people. Displays our identity and spirtitual defence.
What do the human figures represent?
They are based on images of the Linton Stone. Look like Khoi/San people - oldest in SA. Shows the greeting, symbolising unity and collective humanity.
What do the speak and knobkierie represent?
Symbols of defence and authority. They are lying down symbolising peace.
