This image represents the false reality that there was. It shows Wilson, conducting these country’s as they sing a song of everlasting peace. While from the front view it must look fine, the rear view discloses that each of the countries except the US, has some kind of wild card, in the form of a gun, tucked into their back pockets. It shows that tension were higher than they seemed to be, and we weren’t out of the woods yet.

Anti-German propaganda themes contributed to the discrimination and persecution German-Americans faced during the war.
