Imperialism
The policy of extending a country’s power and influence through colonization, economic domination, or political control over other nations.
Colony
A territory or country that is under the political control of another country, usually distant and geographically separate.
Indigenous
Native to a particular region or country, often referring to the original inhabitants of a land.
Nationalism
A strong sense of pride and loyalty towards one’s own nation or country, often accompanied by the belief that it is superior to others.
Resistance
The act of opposing or fighting against something or someone, often in an attempt to regain independence or protect one’s rights.
Resources
The materials or substances that can be used to produce goods or provide services, such as natural resources (e.g., minerals, timber, water) and human resources (e.g., labor, skills, knowledge).
Colonization
The process of establishing settlements or colonies in a new territory, often involving the migration of people from a colonizing country.
Independence
The state or condition of being free from the control, influence, or rule of another nation.
