Q
How were african americans treated during WW1?
A
They didn’t have equal access to wartime jobs.
10/30,000 in an aircraft factory were black.
Black sailors were only allowed to work in the kitchens.
The government feared a march of 100,000 people and so promised to set up the FEPC which investigated black American jobs/wages and found discrimination, so they cut government funding which made a few improve conditions.
