Financial impacts
They may experience financial impacts as they may have to take time off work due to physical injuries sustained during the event or mental health issues. As well if they suffer mental health problems they may see a therapist which is very expensive and they will have to pay out their own pocket

Mental impacts
They may develop PTSD which is common after experiencing a traumatic event. Symptoms include nightmares, insomnia, irritability and depression.
