Describe the pathogenesis of Goodpasture’s syndrome?
A
Antibodies attack the basement membrane in the kidneys and/or lungs.
White blood cells activated and attack vessel wall leading to glomerulonephritis, lungs, and kidney failure.

What does Goodpasture’s syndrome biopsy look like?
A
Red cells in urine and abnormal crescent-shaped cells
Bright green colour of anti-GBM through immunofluorescent microscopy
