What is Dualism?
The idea a human is made up of two parts; body and soul. This is an idea of the philosopher Plato

Living forever
What is materialism?
The belief that a persons mind is inseparable from the body therefore no survival of the soul after death.
What is a body?
The physical part of a person. The part that we can see and touch,
Whats the difference between soul and body?
Soul is the non-physical part of the body- cant see and touch it- the real “you” inside
What is resurrection?
When your soul and body rise from the dead and come back to life.
What is a legacy?
Something handed down from an ancestor; a way of being remembered.
What is heaven?
A state of eternal happiness in the presence of God
What is hell?
A state of eternal separation from God, a punishment or soin
What is reincarnation?
The soul being born again in another body
What is moksha?
Hindu belief of breaking free from the cycle of life-death-reincarnation, to become one with God
What is karma?
The law of cause and effect
What is rebirth?
Continuing life in another form
What is scripture?
Sacred writing of a religion
What is a ghost?
A soul without a body
What is channeling?
Communicating with the dead through a medium
What is a near death experience?
Some people when they are close to death or in an intense situation claim to have a sense of leaving their bodies and seeing what exists beyond this life.
What did Plato believe?
In dualism the body is constantly changing soul is eternal; perfect and never changed when a human dies, their body dies but their soul lives on in a perfect world
What is a problem with Plato’s theory?
No proof of perfect world or soul
What does Dawkins believe?
In materialism we have no soul; simply made of DNA when we die, our cells die and there is nothing left over no afterlife, no heaven or hell, no reincarnation, just death
What is the problem with Dawkins’s theory?
No soul would mean things such as love and merely chemical reactions which someone in love would argue against

What is the most famous account of a resurrection?
Jesus. He died on the cross, was buried then 3 days later rose from the dead in a spiritual body.
What is the problem of resurrection?
Bodies will decay when buried and spiritual accounts that are biased anyway
