Non-filled triangle is non-compulsory reporting point
Black is a VOR based reporting point and brown is a NDB reporting point
What do blue stars stand for and what is the difference between a filled and unfilled star?
RNAV waypoint position reports
Solid - compulsory
Unfilled - non-compulsory
What does a non-compulsory reporting point mean?
Reporting is requested when requested by ATC
Where does the MEA show up on a chart?
Altitude shows up as a number above the Victor airway number. If number is published below mea preceded by a * minimum obstacle clearance altitude
What does OROCA stand for and where is it shown on the chart?
Off Route Obstruction Clearance Altitude used when flying direct and show on the chart as a large number in size followed by a smaller number
It does not guarantee nav signal reception or radar
What is a MRA and how is it shown on a chart?
MRA : minimum reception altitude to receive RNAV signals used to identify airway intersections.

What does MEA Gap stand for and how is it show on the chart
Indicates there is a gap in reception of navigation signal coverage at the MEA. This is shown as a note on top of the Victor airway
Maximum gap length is 1.444 x altitude in 1000s of ft
What does MAA on airway chart mean?
Maximum Authorized Altitude (MAA) is the highest altitude permitted on an airway
What does a T at the end of an airway line mean at a reporting point ?
The altitude changes for the MEA
What does MCA mean and how is it shown on a chart
MCA: minimum crossing altitude - altitude required before crossing a fix
